Danish Architecture and Danish architects tour

Danish Design, Danish Architecture and Danish architects are world known and for a very good reason. Just consider names like Henning Larsen, Bjarke Ingels, Jørn Utzon, Jan Gehl, Vilhelm Lauritzen, Arne Jacobsen and Kaare Klint. This is just to mention a few of the most famous and celebrated Danish architects but more will come in the future.

But why is that? Is is something in the water or air? And why are Danish architecture and Danish architects almost identical with Minimalism and functionality? There is not one answer, but a combination and a bit of coincidence.

The tour

We will not go through the last 2.000 years history of Danish architecture or Danish architects from A to Z. Rather we will cherry pick a selected few buildings representing some of the most outstanding Danish architecture and Danish architects fromt the last 100 years. This is include a talk and a visit to some city developed areas.

The itinerary is only suggestive and can be personalised upon request and within reason. If you have a speciel request or wish please let us know and we might be able to help you. Also, Bagsværd Church and Grundtvig Church are unique but also churches for each their parish, hence there are services throughout the week.

Copenhagen has a relatively compact city center with plenty of sights and attractions worth seeing and visiting. This require a little walking though if you want to see the sights closer but only a little and it is worth it.
