This is a restaurant that has been in business since 2000; Restaurant Told & Snaps – a traditional Danish lunch restaurant situated right in Copenhagen’s darling harbour; Nyhavn. Dating back to 1910; Slotskælderen – a place place deeply rooted in the historic presence of Denmark’s equivalent to Roosevelt, Thorvald Stauning, who became the first social democratic Prime Minister of Denmark. Stauning frequented this establishment daily for lunch, which consisted of boiled herring and caraway akavit schnapps in the company of local workers. Today, you will most likely run into many Danish politicians, as it is located only a stone’s throw away from Christiansborg.
